Marie was a young girl of about sixteen years. She had dark hair and bright, shining eyes. She was strong-willed and independent. She knew what she wanted and tried to get it. She wanted to go to America.
She was brave and daring. One night she went into a house and stole food. She almost got caught. She travelled alone until she met Patrick.
She was adventurous and fun-loving. She liked to have fun and enjoyed reading the future. She told Patrick’s future from his palm. She was intelligent and determined. She held Patrick back when Sean was arrested and advised him to stay away to avoid being caught too.
